Default Which mufflers?

Been looking for some good throaty sounding mufflers for my 94 5.0, was looking at the flowmaster 40 series because i can get 2 for $80 shipped, will they be too quiet? and is there anything that will get me more power?

thanks in advance

i dont really want to get something really expensive but if its sorta loud and worth it then ill get it

i dont want something rediculously loud, just something that people will know isnt stock

my car has stock headers/h pipe/mufflers right now

buy an off road h or x pipe and the 40's will be nice and loud... but if you are looking for a performance upgrade.. just replacing youre mufflers wont do much for you.

Yep, with the stock H pipe 40 series sounds pretty tame, but with an o/r midpipe it gets pretty loud.

i wish people would STFU with 2 chamber mufflers and try out the Flowmaster 1 chamber aka 10 series. People would be much more happier.

stock is all 2.25, but i really suggest getting a mid pipe(personally i went w. o/r, but u dont want to, so dont, lol) and cat back. and get it all in 2.5. itll bolt up to the manifolds no problem.

now since you want to go with cats it is going to be considerably quieter then if you were to go w. out cats.

it depends on how loud you want. i have an o/r h, and super 40s(dumped) and it rattles windows, and has set off a car alarm or two.you wont be that loud with cats tho.

and honestly i dont think the 40s are throaty, deep rumbly and loud, but throaty isnt the word i would use

i suggest going here, www.mustangexhaust.com and checking out some sound clips... i think itll help you make a decision
