any ideas to why my auto wont go into overdrive when i am over three grand in third. this is my first auto car and its really starting to get on my nerves. its an artcar aod with a 2800 stall

have you checked your transmission linkage on your throttle body. It should be the linkage closest to the passenger side strut tower. Make sure it hasn't fallen off, if so immediately replace it, if not the throttle pressure may need to be adjusted.

OD band is shot most likely

have u ever run the car at WOT shifting 3rd to 4th? the AOD's hate it!

if the over drive band was shot it wouldnt work at all. it works just fine just wont go in over 3000 rpm. how do you ajust the throttle pressure. and i replaced the shift cable how do i ajust that as well

sounds like the tv cable is pulled out to far. there is a good video on youtube that explains how to set a tv cable properly.
