Need opinions on which direction to go with my car.

Need opinions on which direction to go with my car.
So...I can't decide between these two options for the spring racing season:
1) Do suspension work. MT Drag radials, granatelli control arm kit, subframe connectors, and shocks. I'd like to see how far I could get with the stock motor; I'd hope for high 13s. I'd slap the explorer intake on too. I'd run this way till I manage to break an axle, but I think it'd be hard running on a stock motor.
2) Engine work. Get a set of GT40s and a Steeda #19 cam and have no traction ever. I wouldn't be able to judge what my car could really do with this option until #1 was done.
What do you guys think? I'm leaning toward number one at the moment. Thanks!!

THe more sensible side of me says do suspension first, but look at my car.... Lots of power, no way to plant it. I ran a 14.0 at the track Definately suspension

i have a friend that seriously has almost no engine work done but he has all what you listed for suspension and he runs with c-4 corvettes. i think the only engine work he has is milled down heads for high compression and a cobra intake

well if i were u i would use that gt40 intake u got, maybe some gt 40 heads new valve springs a small trick flow stage 1 cam, and the stock injectors for now, and if u assemble the thing it will cost around 5-600 dollars for all of it. then do ur suspension and u might be able to hit the mid 12's.

do your suspension... rsw on here i think broke a high 12 w. just suspension and a small shot.
would you rather have a lower hp motor running 13s? or a higher hp motor hoping for 13s?
