I'm going to repaint my windsheild wipers,cowl,and some of the other trim on my car. I was wondering if any of you have done the same considering the older mustang molding and other parts seem to fade after the years. Hope to hear from anyone that has done this and what kinda paint you have used gloss,semi gloss,special paint,ect. Thanks a bunch.

Ive done mine, I used duplic color trim paint it is a semi gloss and came out very well. I got the paint at advance auto I believe.

If you're going to paint any rubber stuff ie molding etc go to auto paint store and pick up some stuff called bulldog it comes in a spray and it will allow the paint to flex, it is used for rubber molding, mirrors, etc

So after ya clean the molding your going to paint do you spray it on and paint over it? I have never heard of anything like that before.

I did some work like that on my friends older BMW. We painted the bottom of his bumper which was poly and a bunch of plastic pieces (front grill, grills on hood, light trim, etc.). We used this stuff called like Trim Paint or something, really simple name from Advanced Auto, It comes in a green spray can... everything turned out REALLY well and was very happy with the outcome. I would recommend that stuff to anyone if they prep/paint correctly. I plan on doing all my trim, mirrors, etc. with it very sooon whenever I find the time.

Well that sounds like the stuff to use and is for plastic molding. I will be checking it out tomorrow and let y'all know how it turns out. I'm prolly gonna try to get to it this weekend if not sooner.
