Default Smog Pump

I want to get rid of my smog pump, along with my a/c. I heard with the smog pump different suggestions on how to do it,so I wanted to get some more opinions. Thanks a lot!

Step 1: Disconnect battery, then remove fan, w/p pulley, tensioner, belt.
Step 2: Remove charcoal canister and smog pump and all lines goig to and from it. All lines going to this must essentially be removed or plugged so to not create a vaccum leak. Most of them you can rmeove to an extent to clean things up. You will leave the alternator and it's mounting bracket in place the entire time.
Step 3: Discharge A/C, then use a/c line specialty tool (a few bucks at parts store) to unhook all a/c lines.
Step 4: Remove a/c condensor and compressor and attaching brackets. you will also be required to unbolt the power steering pump when you take the a/c bracket off.
Step 5: Reinstall power steering pump, but you need to use an a/c delete bracket from ford racing. (I have one for sale if you need one.)
Step 6: Reinstall waterpump pulley, fan, tensioner, new belt that is much shorter (I think 72.5"), could be wrong though. I'll have to check my old one tomorrow.

can you delete smog and AC (with reposistioned power steering) and run a belt without any pulleys to replace either of the 2?
and if you could check on that belt size that would be great because i am about to do the same thing.
how do you discharge the A/C?
oh yeah and how much for that a/c delete bracket shipped to ohio (44333)?

to discharge you unscrew the top black thing on it and stick a screwdriver in it until no more gas comes out... like discharging the fuel line (it's illegal but that's how i did it)

what do you reccommend to plug the lines with?
