give it a little break in time. I was told i didnt have to, but at least get some heat through them and make sure everything works right before going out and mashing it. Some people say 500 miles, I think thats ridiculous, but whatever. As long as they are put on right and shimmed correctly, you wont have problem, (well i didnt anyway). yeah, gears rule!

a speedo gears will fix you speedo problem and you should have to run different gas unless you mess with your timing. and as far a break in when i got mine put in the guy said they are either rightor wrong and he races mustangsand hehas done hisfair shareof rearend work

The "break in" period isn't to wear the gears together or anything like that, it's merely to take it easy for a while to make sure stuff was done right, so in case it wasn't you're not raggin on it and screwing it up more.
Gears don't affect gas, use 87. A speedo gear recalibrates your speedometer for the different gears (makes it accurate). When you bump timing you want to increase octane
