Default is this bad?

well a while ago i notice when i went to jack up my vehicle that my oil pan had a large dent in the bottom where the pick up would be. i didnt see this when rebuilding the engine....and i didnt take that part off either, but i think previously someone had previous tried to jack up the car with a floor jack right under the oil pan....is that bad? and ifit is,should ireplace it later andcan i do a dry sump system and how much do they cost and are they hard to put on?
