New cam = new lifters. Same concept as replacing the chain and sprocket at the same time on a motorcycle. Things wear together, and when you put them with different stuff bad things happen. Besides, why not give yourself the peace of mind while everything's apart. It would suck to have to take it all apart again a month later because an old lifter collapsed or something.

What heads and cam are you running? Unless someone has a similar setup or one of the manufacturers can tell you, there's really no other way.

Im having my heads built by a machine shop. The cam is .517intake and .534exhause at .222 .232 durration. My headbuilder said that the stock pushrod length should be fine. But i dunno. I have everything but the pushrods and lifters.

Definatly a good idea to get new pushrods and lifters. Would you want to tear all the way back down AGAIN just incase an old pasrt goes bad ? Just for security reasons, i would definatly get new ones.

I'm putting new lifters in with my new cam too but it says right on the Crane site that you can reuse your old lifters if they are in good condition. Roller lifters barely wear at all, its not like flat tappet cams where you have to change them every time.
