Default RE: Rearend Gears Question

if i had an auto, i would not of hesitated to go with 4.10's, but i gotta 5spd, so i went the 373 route... i would say its worth the extra gas, you'll be quite a bit quicker off the line, rather than having 3.73's

General rule of thumb:
auto=4.10
5sp=3.73

However, if you plan on going forced induction within the near future, go with 3.73s in your auto. If not, you run the risk of running out of gear at the top of the track with the 4.10s. I have actually seen people have to powershift into 5th gear before the traps.[&:]
