Default AGGRIVATING VIBRATION

if it isn't one thing its another....got the mini starter working thanks to mattdel. now i have a decent vibration at idle and all through the RPM range. i installed a new flywheel, clutch kit, pilot bearing, throwout bearing and retainer. the vibrations are while sitting still. the car is still on jack stands, so its not the driveshaft. any help would be greatly appreciated.....

take a close look at the harmonic balancer. if the rubber inside the back of it is frayed or sticking out at all, its junk.

the rubber is not flush with the balancer...it sticks out about 1/16" evenly all around the balancer....

as long as its not torn up at all, that sounds fine.
how bad is the vibration? my balancer recently died and it was horrid, almost undriveable.

well...while i was out there...i reved the motor with the clutch in and it didn't vibrate...when i let the clutch out completely...it starts to vibrate and makes a noise almost like a throwout bearing....the vibration won't knock teeth out, but it shakes enough to make me not wanna drive it to a big car show saturday...[:@]

something is definately wrong with the clutch/bearing setup. maybe get a new bearing, cuz you gotta take it all apart again anyway[:@]

did you do anything with the flywheel? improper torque specs?

i doubt its the counterweight, it would vibrate all the time, clutched or not.
