If my memory serves me right unless you are carbed now, you are speed density or mass air. Being 1988 it's a speed density car so probably has a corresponding computer. I am working on a 1988 GT and replaced the computer,wiring harness, added 76mm mass air and different injectors and it ran great before the "great rebuild" began.

something to think about is valve springs on your head you dont wanna throw to much cam in it for your old worn stock vavle springs. springs are not that expensive and good insurance IMO.

Thanks for the help but turns out i have to redo the whole motor. Took off the pan and one of the Main studs to check the bearing and the crank is score and the pistion wall is scratched soooo. Little short on money so im looking fora recently rebuilt 302 for $1500 or so
