Default 351w heads?

I was just readin an article in muscle mustangs and fast fords. They were doing a comparison in times between a c4 and t5. On they're test car, I think it was a 91 lx hatchback or somethin, it had a 302 with 1971 351w heads. I didn't know you could run those. Is There a benefit of running stock 351w heads over stock 302 heads? The 351w heads I can get are free, but they're 1991... Any increase in flow or anything to switch those? Does everything bolt up?Thanks.

I don't know about flow numbers but you should be able to bolt 351 heads up to a 302 without any problems.

The C9-D0 351 head is comparable to a gt40 head, the later heads like you have are useless.

yes the 351w heads bolt up just fine. actually my friend is building a 347 using 351w heads. he is porting out the hump in the exhaust ports to allow more airflow.
