Anone know for certain about the harnesses? Anyone done this swap?

TIA
Harness is completely different. If I were you, I wouldn't bother, it's a lot of work, this is coming from a guy who's done it. I wouldn't do it unless your car is mint. Just sell your andbuy a different car, buy the one you want. In the end, you'll be happy. Either that or get a donor car, best way, and cheapest way to do it. I picked up a 92 GT for $600CAD complete, and that was my donor car for my job. VS. buying wiring, buying stuff you don't need in the end, and get the engine and trans and trans cross-member... all for $600.. buying that all individually, looking at a few grand at minimum

Ive been told by my mechanic that the K-member is the same for all the engines offered in '86 and later years.(he built and raced a purple '87 t-roof GT)I have an '86 V6 (t-roof ) as well and am in the porocess of planning a V8 swap. (I am going to run a carbeurated setup though). you will need a trans mount (double hump) but as for the wiring stuff I have no idea. thats why I'm going with a carb as I begin to make my list of needed parts...going for a cheap budget build...

Ive looked into both paths and have been told by 6 different people that running a carb in an '86 is easier than trying to adapt the wiring harnesses...

they said it is also alot cheaper to maintain and tune....

hope that helps...
