just wondering with some ported cast gt-40's, stock pistons, the heads have been shaved like .020 the guy i bought them from told me.and going to be running some 1.6 roller rockers and probably either the trickflow stage 1 cam or steeda #19 just wondering if i have to run hardened pushrods and whatlength if the stock ones wouldn't work.thanks

yes, get a rod length checker and get some hardend rods. your engine will thank you...

so the stock ones aren't close enough to use with this setup

They probably are, but will more than likley bend in that setup, just be safe and dont risk it...

If you are running stud mount rockers, you will need hardened push rods because you need hardened for the guides... Might want to consider upgrading valve springs since you are going with a cam and rocker upgrade...
