Default Frustration

I bought a 91 lx in October and have enjoyed every second that I've been in it. I'm learning more and more about mods and gains and I am frustrated with my low horsepower. I dyno'd at 197rwhp and then 202rwhp after upping the timing. Here are my mods:

Edelbrock Performer Heads, Edelbrock Performer Intake, Motorsport E Cam, 24lb injectors, 70mm BBK/Edelbrock throttlebody, 190 fuel pump, BBK Fuel Regulator, MSD Ignition Coil, K&N Filter, Ram Air, ASP Pulleys, B&M 2800 Stall Converter, Flowtech Headers, Off Road H-Pipes, Flowmasters, rebuilt AOD tranny with B&M ratchet shifter, 3.73 gears, replaced bearings, Cobra wheels with Fuzion ZRi 255/40R17 tires, and the MAF is a 75mm GMS calibrated for 24lb injectors.

Shouldn't I be putting down close to 300 to the wheels? Does anybody have any suggestions? Don't get me wrong, I love the car and it is awesome to drive. I just want it to reach it's full potential.

Wow...Something must be way wrong. You just dyno'd it, didn't have it tuned?

No, I haven't had it tuned. In my town there is only one dyno, and the guys weren't the most knowledgeable. I'm thinking about driving 150 miles to San Antonio to get it tuned.

No, it came with all of these mods. I just talked to the previous owner and he said he had the same mechanic do all of the mods over the period of a few years.

check over the whole job .

your timing I bet is at 6 degrees

, and TPS voltage at idle should be .99

the ground wire for the 0'2 are on the firewall, check that.

make sure they didnt leave a 0'2 loose or messed up.

if all checks ok, the valve lash is more than likely out of adjustment, or the cam may not of been installed straight up etc

I dont like mechanics installing high performance parts, Ive seen pros that are performance minded, make some very very very dumb mistakes.

PRIME EXAMPLE !-

MASTER TECH at work that thinks he is the #!@# put on a TFS kit, with 1.7;s a big cam and intake on a stock 302! and thought he had an 11 second car, even installed a roll cage. the car was a slug and id say 15 second one! he overwhelmed the little 302 and still couldnt figure out what he did wrong with all the other techs and 2 master techs looking over the car.

After he found out, you guys helped me whit my setup on this forum, he told me i was very dumb from taking your advice and was against this forum. He really hates young techs and young guys.

I told him he had way to much dam airflow and what he did wrong, he cursed me out, and I dam near knocked him out[:@], when he finds out the truth at the performance shop its at, he has nothing more to say to me.

mine was at 6 degrees, and the master techs insisted I keep it there.

the flywheel holes, well I was drunk and mad, im telling ya , you sure can make some visual errors after a few, learned my lesson, ill NEVER forget that one

you should have at least 280rwhp, something is wrong there, check everything over, and when you dynoed it did they check the air/fuel ratio?
