Yeah, and how can you tell it's beautiful from that little picture? Anyway, don't worry about getting that car. I shopped for 2 months and found four decent 5.0's and i live in Iowa *looks outside to see blizzard*. The car market is changing all the time, and it's interesting how some things work out. I looked at two '88s, an '89, and finally found my '85 which was in better shape than the three newer cars.

its maroon

Also the guy just decides now to tell me that the car has a crack running along the entire windshield. Which I guess isn't a super expensive thing to fix but still something he didn't tell me in the first place, who knows what else he's not telling me.
I asked him how straight the body is and how straight it drives and he says both are "straight as an arrow."
He said the interior's pretty decent, a little faded with some tears in the seats...and it's red.[:'(] Oh well. lol
I don't know, I'll see when I go to look at the car saturday. I just hope this isn't another impulse buy.

you better run a carfax and make sure that is true mileage
that is only 4600 miles a year
my car reads around 60k right now but it is really 160k and it could fool someone with an untrained eye..
if its true mileage then check the car out for rust. look at where the rear control arms meet the frame and see if the connections (torque boxes) look torn up. people who do alot of burnouts or drag race alot break the torque boxes even with stock horsepower.

2500 isnt a bad deal at all for that car. especially if the inside is clean. If youve noticed the value on fox bodies had gone up a ton over the past few years. My buddie bought one 3 years ago for 2500 and didnt do a thing to it other than drive it. Sold it with 103 k on it for 5500. Clean and stock. As for the condition of the car def look at the torque boxes and one of the first things to rot are around the bolts for the crossmember and where the water drains off of the windshield where it meets the fenders because of the way they put a seam there.Take it for a drive though make sure that teres nothing wrong with the steering or brakes and that it handles good. Also check the engine bay for any cracks or wrinkles on the sides, thats a good sign that it was in a crash.

Don't look that bad of a car but there is always risks. Taking your dad is a good idea he can find problems before you buy it. This dude at a dealershiptried to sell me a 97 gt for $9,000 but it had 160,000 miles on it! Not worth it knowin it was a sports car and been taken through hard driving. Turns out the person that person that got it is always havin problems with it. I found a 5.0 in the paper with rebuilt motor, trans, exhaust, and cold intake for $2,000 and still runnin strong. Just take your time and weigh your options. Good luck.
