You took off the ones on the door? eep. That was a bad idea. You'll have to buy those new, and they ain't cheap. You'll never get a good used set. They are glued on, and have a metal strip in them, and when you pull them off, that bends and you'll never get them perfect again, I went through that too. Just went and got a couple new doors vs. buying the mouldings, as the whole door was getting painted anyway. Just keep an eye on ebay, or why not a local auto wrecker as they're the same on GT's and LX's

you can pull the metal strip and flatten them out

honestly on a LX they look good without the door mouldings u just need the ones coning off the bumpers

Well, I didnt pull them off. I bought the car from a collage kid in need of some money. He dropped in the 88 EFI motor with the T-5 and then had Macco paint the car. Well needless to say the kid didnt do some of his home work. Great job on the swap but ran short with the paint and inside stuff.

You know you can actually take them off a door with out ruining them. if you see a good set buy a strip of piano wire at your local paint shop, this is used to take off the windshields but oyu can actually take off mouldings too. just start at one end go up and down while pulling towards you. this just takes off the double sided tape without messing up the moulding.
