Default valley girdle yes or no

i was wondering if i should spend the 230 on girdles? are they worth it? i want about 450 to the wheels with poly motor mounts and it wont be reved past 5500 any ideas on how to make the block hold that?

I know I wouldn't spend it on that girdle......the intake does a good job....

i'm not sure if they can be used on 5.0 blocks, but for 351's they have splayed 4 bolt main conversions

splayed 4 bolt mains wont keep the block from cracking, thats what happens to 'em. They just you from driving over the crank.

they help keep the crank from walking, they don't strengthen the block. I'm still debating if I'm going to spend the money. If you're running too much power, the block is gonna break anyway.
