Ok it wasnt you Adder, it was pro50 that posted it. My tire is only an inch taller than a stocker so its not that bad.

Plus they are almost bald from doing burnouts and spinning through 2nd.

this is preety simple, your most definantly reaching the no production zone in rpms before you reach the higher speed your looking for. take for example, im running 3.73 in my stang with a moded 306 and im running 110 to 112 mph in the quater mile and just barely getting into 4th gear. most guys with stock 302 are barely seeing 95 to 98 in the quater getting a good bit of 4th gear. its a power available versus rpm avaible issue. if theres no power to reach the speed in the power band then its like laying on your back pissing straight up if ya catch my drift.

thats not a list of tires that are the same size... thats just a list of tires sizes ans their overall diameter for comparison purposes

i have 3.73's in mine and got over 140. its even an auto and i kno it is def not a good idea to try to accel in OD but u just get that bug sometime. heres the vid for it to

I have 373's and the car falls on its face above 100mph... it is like it hit a brick wall... I never tried topping my car out though

with my 5spd I top out 4th gear at 115-120mph... and dont even try 5th(dont want to cruise 100+ for a while to top my car...its too slow up top)

Just getting a cam wont fix this problem will it?? Or do you need heads to really feel any difference up top??

I was planning on getting the e303 cam and possibly gt-40 heads w/ cobra upper/lower mani.... hopefully that will liven up the top-end

unfortunately i still have the stock e7's but at least they're cleaned up a bit. they also have better springs on em and i have a f cam to go with it. with that cam it has a little bit of top end rush

i plan on running the same set up with the gt40 heads e303 and cobra intake but i will be using 1.7 svo rockers as well
