Default anyone running a wideband?

funds are gone at the moment for the 393 so that is put on the side for now, but i do have a super60 and a buch of exhaust just sitting there and i am real sick of this slow *** 302, so i am thinking of going draw threw with methanol/water injection but was wondering how the wideband will react with the methanol and water? oh ya its a bone stock 85 5.0 with 50k miles on it.

itll work fine. the water is heated so much it turns to gas (not gasoline but gas as compared to a solid or liquid). the methanol is like high octane which as long as its unleaded, it wont effect the o2

What makes a wideband useless? That statement is far from true. I've been using the LM1 for years with great success. If you're using the wideband to tune methanol, be aware that the meth has a different stoich then pump gas.

Yeah, how do you tune your motor?

Sometimes 2kwik is a little too quick to make comments.

An a/f gauge on a stock narrow band sensor isn't much good, but it will tell you if the sensor is switching normally.
This is what he was likely commenting on...

Most companies that sell WB O2's will also offer a gauge of some kind.

I will be using a pair of LC-1's once my motor is running again...
Innovate does offer a visual gauge, but datalogging is a better option for tuning.

Sounds like guess work.
Which sounds risky.

A quick call to the guys that made the wideband should let you know how the h2o and meth will affect the sensor.
I would think it would be fine though...
