Default got it runnin finally YEA BABY!!

Finally got my fuel pump issue sorted out. Rewired it and have a switch on the dash. Got my electricals tested today, everything is charging fine, but my battery terminals on the cables are old and loose and worn out so I'm losing charge through those. My timing is too far advanced so it's hard startin but I should have that fixed soon. Man It sure is a pain when everytime you go to stop ya gotta put it in nuetral, switch pedals, brake with ur left and keep the car runnin with ur right LOL. AW man this car is fuun though! lol I was driftin all over the place since it's raining out, good stuff.

ANYWAY, I'm just really happy bout that so I figured I'd let ya know,

it's also real hard to start, it fights itself the whole time till you finally get it goin, so the timing is off in some way lol.

sounds like its not advanced enough to me anyway if its having trouble starting check your starter solinoid make sure the terminals are clean. my car was doing the same thing thought it was the timing then it stopped turning over all together and had to jump start it every morning pushing it down the driveway got a new starter still didnt work looked at the starter slolinoid and the one terminal was all nasty looking cleaned it up never had a problem again

thanks guys. Would 14 be a good spot to shoot for just to get it runnin for now? right now it's on 87 gas, but I start a new job in the morning so I really need to get it runnin right, so think 14 would work good for 87 right now, once I get some good gas in I'll do the timing again to get it right for that.

hah alright 12 it is. So to make sure I got the procedure right, I disconnect that spout peice or whatever that hangs by the distributer. Then I loosen the distributer hold down bolt or whatever... Then I start it pick my number on te balencer, connect the light to the 1st spark plug wire, blah blah blah sound about right?
