RE: Howd you get your tune done ?
Originally I just rought it to my friend's dyno and messed with a few things by hand (timing, fuel pressure, etc.)
In theory, I SHOULD have my tweecer RT waiting for me on my doorstep when I get home today. I'll use that and go back to the dyno to try to tune finalize a decent tune. |

RE: Howd you get your tune done ?
I'm supposed to have a dyno done this Friday and they asked me if I wanted to tune it myself or if I wanted them to tune it. It cost $80 more for them to do it than for me so I told them I would do it myself. How do the people who dyno the car tune it. Is it better to just let them do it?

I did a dyno tune. My guy wouldnt let me touch anything. He took my diablo chip, burned it, and put it in the car.

Ok, sounds good to me. I'll just have them do the tune and I'll learn off them.

$80????? ROFL!!!!!
try more like $500-700 I have an SCT custom dyno tune chip they custom write the chip on-site, make dyno pulls, then rewritew the chip for needed changes. It's a 4 bank chip that allows for multiple tunes If you REALLY want to learn to do it yourself ...... start reading and reading www.tweecer.com has some good books listed on their site and www.fordfuelinjection.com has tons of good info. First you have to understand how the EEC works, then you can make changes with something like PMS or Tweecer |
