Kid's car seats in a Fox convertible-am I nuts?
Well- other members of my family would say I'm nuts regardless. I'm still looking for the right car; I've been on the lookout for a Fox convertible- it's a relatively cheap cruiser thats bigger inside than a Fox-4 and much easier than robbing a bank for an '07.
One ABSOLUTE necessity is the ability to carry my 5 y.o. and 8 y.o. daughters with...they're my strongest incentives to get one. They've been bred as Mustang fans from infancy. They told me Santa would probably bring me a Mustang this year, but they don't know Mrs Claus as well as I do.
My question goes out to those who've done this- how practical is it for kids to sit back there? I'm on the large side(at 6'1' and 230lb my seat was always pretty far back) and they're l'il sprouts( 48' and 48lbs & 36' and 36lbs). This would be strictly for short pleasure cruising and trips to school, but I don't want them uncomfortably or unsafely crammed in back. Any recommendations for a seat or just general advice on the subject would be appreciated. Then I can go back to daydreaming about my list of mods!

I dont see why not.... not that a 5.0 is the safest car to drive in but I dont see why its not doable (sp). I think PRO50SC has a carseat in his Notch...

Should have no problem im 6'2 240 and ive had 2 grown men in my backseat (yes they were alil cramped) but not anymore then they would have been in lets say a 2 door cavi.

I have 2 kids 1 and 3. One in the passenger side front with the seat up and one in the passenger rear. Im 6'2 so I have the driver seat all the way back. But yea car seat is in there permently.
