Default STICKING TACH

92 LX HATCH BIMINI BLUE FACTORY SUNROOF, SO TH E TACH STARTED TO STICK WHEN COLD OR WET, THEN COMES BACK, IS THERE A FIX, CAN I PULL GAUGE POD AND OIL CABLE OR IS IT ELECTRIC AND I NEED A NEW SENSOR

mine does it too, tap the tach kind hard, it will go back to normal. i dont know what the problem is except all my gauges are hella messed up, i think its all my wiring, there is all kinds of issues with my wiring.

IT HAPPENS TO ALOT OF OLDER CARS, MINE HAS NO WIRING ISSUES THOUGH. I JUST WONDER IS THERE A FIX OR DO I REPLACE TACH

i dunno, someone will chime in, not to steal your thread but does anyone know a good cluster replacement kit for the dash that is not expensive, i wanna replace mine but its way expensive for some of these kits. will any other mustang clusters work as a straight replacement? i'm sick of "going 85 on the highway" if you know what i mean

my 92 lx vert is doing the same thing, and i asked my boss and he said that its just the tach going bad...how many miles do you have on the car?

well if your car has that many miles..close to 300k, and its the original tach, id look into replacing it
