with the "correct" heads and cam and intake and all that other crap
a good 347 will make around 400-450hp at 6,000-6,500rpm plus or minus depending on parts used

150 shot will push a stock block to the brink.
might last forever, might blow up on 2nd spray.
Ford states all over the place that exceeding 400hp on a stock
302 block is at your own risk.

good rule of thumb on stock factory blocks is you can either stroke them
or boost/spray them......... do both and you're walking the line..........

its just pushing it to its limits.

hell i've got a friend in Dallas making 790rwhp on a DSS 347 with 15psi Vortech
on a stock 2 bolt block.
so if built right they can take it,.......... question is just how long?????
I have running joke with him on how long its going to take to blow it up. lol

If you think about it the 302 block was only designed to make about 200-250hp from the
factory, the fact that it will actaully hold double that is impressive. asking more is
starting to get rediculous.

i think you'd be fine with a 100shot as long rpms are reasonable and you have a good tune

it will diffenitly be tuned very well... and i dont want much more than 500rwhp so if i were to get 400 of a mild tune with just motor i figure 100 shot would but me rite there... and it will be a lot cheaper than a blower...

i figured no more than 2500 for the h/c/i ( gettin heads and intake ported and then a E303 cam i believe) then the stroker kit
but a lil into suspension... mayb 1500
then 500 shot of nitrous
and about 500 for a tune...

so thats ruffly 5000 bucks... which gives me enough left over for rims and tires... so the car will look good but seem stock besides mayb shot of nitrous.. if ppl are able to notice it... but i but out around 500rwhp.. thats what i want...

ne1 have a walkthrough on how to put in a stroker kit together.. i got one for the h/c/i but i am under educated on the lower half hte engine

you think 5k for 500rwhp? Your crazy, go back to the drawing board especially with that useless e303 cam.

hmmm, I was giving you flywheel hp.

347 will make about 350rwhp and about 450rwhp with 100 shot.
and your numbers are way low on cost.

get a head/cam combo from www.camshaftinnovations.com for about $2,500
it will maximize the power out of the extra cubes and save lots of headaches and frustration
Figure another $3,000 for someone to build up the short block and do all the machining
and put your heads and cam on.

Now you need a $500 intake plus long tube headers plus nitrous and tune and everything else
I'm forgetting

If you have your heart set on 500+rwhp, maybe start thinking turbo 351W

525rwhp = 625-650hp at the flywheel, thats one hell of an engine and expensive to acomplish

hell 450rwhp is more than good enough... im gettin the my gt-40 heads ported and polished... is the E303 cam really that bad... what about a B or a tfs1 cam??? i just wanna max out the block saftey... i want the stock block look thats why im getin the cobra intake and gt-40 heads... then i want a stroker kit and i got a Maximum motor sports package for 1500... the heads and cam and intake are goin to cost me about 1200... so that lives anotehr 1300 hunderd for the stroker... kit is 800 bucks form fullauto... that leaves 500 for boring out hte engine and notching the bottom of the engine... thats what im not sure about.. mayb it will cost more... ill also need gaskets... for a full kit for 85 bucks... also rtv sealent... which is no big deal then 500 for nx nitrous is reasonable... and a 500 buck tune is actualyl more than it will cost mro than likely... so it will cost a lil more than 500 bucks

i mena those are ruff numbers... and if u were talkin tothe crank to the wheels thats still cool... 500hp is more than fine for me... i guess i gues assumed u mite rwhp...

how much does it cost to do a full stroker setup... ill probably put it in myself... ill just get a machinist to do all the boring and what not...

gt-40 head is nowhere remotely near what you nee to support 500 at the crank, back to the drawing board again.
