what gears do you recommend

RE: what gears do you recommend
Same situation for me.
I had 273 and was running around 1700rpm's on the freeway. The middle of the road is 355 which brought my rpm's up to 2000 and gave the car a better snap off the line. I'm happy with them. So 355-373 would work. Basicly what you want to get out of it.

Another side of the equation is that 3.55's are dirt cheap since everyone is pulling them with like 2k miles out of new stangs and rangers. I am getting some 3.55's tommorow due to I drive on the HIghway alot and it is my DD. When I do my project stang (Sometime in the next decade....) I am going to go with 4.10s

RE: what gears do you recommend
i have a t-5 with a pretty much stock 302 and i think i have a gear somewhere around 2.73 bc it use to be a 4cyl and it takes so long to get up to speed until i hit about 3rd or 4th but im only hittin about 200 miles to a 15 gal tank which is roughly 13 mpg in the city but im about to get a 3.73 installed which most ppl say shouldnt hurt my gas mileage because it wont take so long to get up to speed so what do yall think........
