Default Wideband o2?

So when i throw in my new x-pipe here in a few weeks i plan on getting new o2 sensors, since one day im going to need to start tuning my car(if not already) shouldent i just get widebands?

Are there any kits out there that give you your sensors + guage for a decent amount?

Check out Jegs for the edelbrock kit, I can't remember the cost but I think it's reasonable.

There is one potential for problems with what you plan to do. That is the computer cannot interpret the wideband signal. This can be worked around by getting a wideband with a narrow band simulator. Innovate sells most of its WB kits with this ability, but I am not sure about others.
Make sure you are getting a narrow band simulator or this will not work.

Be ready for the price...
The LC-1 from Innovate is the cheapest one I saw, and it is $200. You would be $400 into the O2 sensors.

It will be worth every penny when you start to tune, but it is expensive up front...

or you could just drill a bung hole in your exhaust for the new wide band set up. and run that right to a guage in your car..

just leave the stock 02's in their place.

that way you will have narrow and wide bands.

that's what I plan to do, seems like the most logical choice.

If your gonna run the MS, you dont NEED the narrow band sensors at all. You can run the system off the wideband alone. Although you CAN use a narrow band sensor for running the MS while NOT using the wideband... you just have to change one of the settings.

So I take both narrowbands out, put one wideband in and plug up one of the holes?
