Wow, so after an hour and a half in the shop today we got one my new FRPP B springs in! It was a ton of work we had to remove the lower control arm and then jack it up, but once the springs compressed a bit they just started lifting the whole car up! So then we used the spring compressor through the hole in the lower control arm and finally after getting the arm realigned using two jacks the bolts went in again and voila! Tell me what you guys think, any suggestions to make this a little easier?
wow...you only triple worked yourself...there is no need to remove the lower control arm....and yes the back are REAL easy....unbolt the shocks and puch down on the axle
O ya and are the rear springs easier to replace? it looks a lot simpler back there how should i go about that?
Put the car on jackstands under the frame, let the rear end hang off the shocks. Remove the sway bar. Unbolt the lower control arm on the axle with the jack under that point, then lower the jack and the spring will fall out. Installation is the same a removal. Just watch the rotation of the spring...make sure both springs are the same(open end is in the same relitive position)
ya i know it seemed like way too much work but there was no way those springs were going in there i'm gonna try just the compressor again tomorrow with the other side
