Z-head
This head is actually a Ford design.
204cc intake port, 85cc exhaust port with standard and Dart exhaust patterns.

canfield heads are pretty much the best heads on the market. i dont think i've ever heard anyone using them complain once about them. i'm going with afr185s on my build though, simply because they are a little less expensive than the comparible canfields.

Trick Flow Twisted Wedge is the best bang for the buck IMO. How many other heads have you seen people bolt on a stock shortblock and also put on 8sec cars?
ya TW ftw!

TW's....if you outgrow them you can port them since they already have the bigger valves.....

The biggest downside to an afr head, is the valve spring it comes with is useless and should be changed. I have used TFS heads 10+ years ago and they always work well. Plus side to the canfield is they rock and can be had with a spring that you need right out of the box. Not everyone runs them like an afr or TFS and thats reason alone. Who do you think makes all of Jegs private label heads? Thats right, canfield.
Are the AFR springs useless even with a mild street cam? Im not putting any crazy race cam in the car.

Are the heads Canfield makes for Jeg's the same exact heads as sold under the Canfield name or are they of lesser quality and performance?
They arent useless, there are plenty of people that make good power with them. They just say with larger cams you can get valve float above 6000rpm and to be safe you might want to upgrade the springs. On the pedestal heads the spring upgrade is only $60, so you can get the heads with upgraded springs for under $1350.
