I bet there behind the driver side shock tower. I think that's what I took off when I took the EGR and smog pump off.

those are the valves themselves, you need to follow the vacuum lines connected to them back to find the solenoid valves that control them.

i dont have any vac lines to them because all my smog stuff has been removed. i wanted to buy the resistors from fordfuelinjection.com to plug in so i can remove the valves to cleen up th engine compaartment. so the things behind the intake are the valves? dont the electrical conections plug into them?

now you've go me confused, how are the valves still there if "all my smog stuff has been removed."? according to my book, the vacuum lines to the valves are controlled by electrical solenoid valves somewhere in the vincinity of the control valves. like I said, you should find them with both a vacuum line and a wiring harness connected to them unless they have been removed already too.

no the valves are still on the engine behind the intake but there is no vaccume line to them. the smog pump all the lines everything but the valves have been removed they are just there doing nothing. the solenoids have been removed so i guess what i need to remove is the valves themselves. so i will just unplug them and take them off
