I know that, I bought them off of a 87 Gt and they didn't rub. I paid 275 and my pony wheels for them. So I couldn't pass them up. My question is what is different on my front suspension than a 87? I am wanting to upgrade the suspension anyways.

i believe its a bigger mm callipar and the strut mount is wider thats why 87-93 struts dont mount up

There is a clearance diff. from the year model when they went to the 16" wheels on the GTs. But I dont know exactly how much.

all you gotta do is trim away some of the plastic inner fender well if its that big of a deal

The rubbing is at the top of teh rim and it rubs the shock itself, actually made a place in the shock casing. I would like to make it so I can use the 87-93 shocks.

then get the spindles from a 87-93 mustang and swap them out.
