well for the gt-40p heads they have a different spark plug angle and smaller exhaust port then the gt-40 also you have to use a weird kind of header for the gt-40p's

i heard u can just push in one of the header tubes (effects flow) and the spark plug will fit. works with most aftermarket headers from what i heard. heard the crushed pipe is worth it.

i wouldnt say its worth restricting flow by crushing a pipe personally i would just go with the gt-40 but its up to you

tri-state has them for 550 a pair, brand new valvetrain on them. If you're on a budget they're a good buy.

u dont literally crush the pipe, u just have to tweak it a lil.

lol yes i know you dont crush them that would be retarded. im just saying why get those heads when the gt-40's have bigger exhaust ports and dont need to "tweak" anything

GT40P's actually flow better up to .500 lift than most 5.0 heads, including the GT40's, making them a great head for a mild build. The smaller exhaust port doesnt hurt it one bit, it actually induces velocity, and since its a rather smooth port compaired to the E7's, the air flows better. Quality over quantity.

As for headers, you can use BBK shorties, but youll need to use some spark plug wires with 90* boots. A lot of guys run Chevy universal wires.

+1 on the P

MAC makes a specif P shorty header, i bought mine for 180 brandnew on ebay. They flow well, overall better than gt40's. Just upgrade the springs to better. You can push the heads a bit past .500, its not like once you reach .500 they fall flat of their face. I'm runnin a tfs stage 1 cam with em, i believe its .498/.512
