Default Help urgently wanted!!!!!!

Hi, this is going to sound like a really stupid question to ya'll, but I know absolutely nothing about cars except how to drive them. Anyway, my boyfriend is off serving in Iraq so he told me to start up his 1992 5.0 LX and let it run for a while. You'd think I could do that without screwing it up right? Well it turns I somehow have. Obviously I can't call him and he can only call me infrequently.

What happens is, I get in the car and I turn the key, but it doesn't start. And now I can't seem to get the key out. I can turn it back, but the key isn't coming out. How do I pull the key out?Is there somesomething you have to do first in order to get it out? I'm used to driving more simple cars, in which you simply put the key in, turn it and letit start. Then when you're done, you turn the key back and pull it out.

The car is in danger right now. I removed the key chain with the auto door locks, but the key is still in the starter keyhole. If my boyfriend found about this he'd kill me. Help please!!!

Any help is much appreciated!

There is probalbly a button under the stereing counsol somewhere. it should be like right behind the steering wheel on the bottom of that round peice. and the battery is probably dead on the car so you should put a charder on it if possible. im just guessing though soo.... but good luck!

It worked great! Thanks so much.

As for the car starting, it hasn't been run in a few weeks. But I do remember him telling me something about the crazy security system. However, I must have zoned out for that. Like there's something you have to do. I'm not sure if the security system came with the car, or if it was installed later by the person he bought it from. Anyone have any idea about that?

Thanks again.

It's a stick shift. And it has a racing clutch on it too. As little as I know about cars, I do know how to drive a stick.

I would ask some neighbors, but it's a little late right now. I might do that tommorrow. But then again, we got all old people living there. I don't know if they'd know what to do! They're all very sweet, but they don't strike me as the kinds that would know a lot about cars.
