ORIGINAL: dimebag

so the vortech pully is 8 rib i assume? how would u run it if it were 6 and the novi s/c is an 8?

how safe is 11/12 psi on a stock motor, and what can i expect power wise from it? and from 6ish psi?
It was not designed to be used with either blower. It's a trick to use it with the little Novi. It was designed to be used in the Renegade class of racing. They are limited to an 8 rib pulley. The smaller the number of ribs, the less area for the belt to grab. It is supposed to limit the amount of boost you can make. It is also larger (8") to overdrive the blower and add surface area for the belt to grab. The Renegade guys overspin their blowers.

It doesn't work with the Vortech SC trim. It is a "trick" for the Novi 1000 guys. It was not designed for it.

A stock motor will hold 11-12psi.Wait a little while and I'll post some numbers with my stock motor. I plan on adding an E cam (free) and a Performer RPM intake (sitting on the shelf). I'm only using stuff that I have. The entire swap is only costing me gaskets.
