Hard to replace a clutch in a Mustang. You are kidding right? Its one of the easiest things I have done to my car. If you have any mechanical ability you will be fine. Just make sure you reset the quadrant if its not an adjustable setup.

you can take yours somewhere to have it resurfaced, pretty much any machine shop does them i think as long as there are no stress cracks and it is not horribly pitted. I was told you need one with the same number of teeth.

Yes it does. 157 is for5.0L and 164 is for 4.6L
The other thing to remember is that stock motors will use a 50oz imbalance
stroker motor kits are normally balanced for a 28oz imbalance
some high reving motors will be specially balanced for a 0ozimbalance
The last thing to think about is you may want to get a billet steel cut flywheel. They are a bit more $$ but they are SFI aproved, which is required by NHRA drag strips if you run lower E.T.s

Huh??? Even with long tube headers? For meremoving my trans isone of the biggest pain in the a$$ jobs on my car, thanks to the long tube headers. Starter removal, and then just clearing the trans from the pipes.....(getting angry just thinking about it). But yes, other than that its a pretty EZ job. You may have a tricky time with the exhaust fasteners (I love the torch) depending on what condition they are in and you will need a 12 point 12mm socket for the driveshaft removal.

the only issue ive ever had with longtubes and transmission removal would be the bell housing... its JUST big enough to get stuck, so you have to rotate it a couple of times.... but thats it.
