First off they do make saleen and Xennon kits for an 83. 83-86 are the same kit. An air dam of an 82 Gt will NOT fit. I have an 86 and bought a 82 air dam and it doesn't fit because the 83-86 have a round frot where the 82 is more square. The sides and rear are the same 79-93, just the air dam. california Mustang has some nice air dams too

I HAVE BOTH 86 AND 89 I LOVE THEM BOTH BUT YOU SEE SO MANY 87-93'S AND NOT TOO MANY 79-86.I DROOL EVERYTIME I SEE A NICE CLEAN 4 EYED THAT WHY I BOUGHT MY 86 GT. PLUS IT HAD A 93 MOTOR 93 QUARTER WINDOWS AND MOST OF A 93 BLACK INTERIOR.I HAVE TO GET SOME PICS ON HERE SHE IS SWEET. ALL BLACK IN AND OUT WITH CHROME PONIES COWL HOOD AND SALEEN WING YOU GUYS WILL LOVE IT.
