Default rim size

i was looking at getting a set of new rims and was wondering how wide i can go in the back without running into clearance problems, the car is lowered 2 inches, i know 18s will rub so i wanted 17's but didnt know how wide. was thinking about going with the bfg drag radials 275 or 315's?

Default RE: rim size

With drag radials its good to have more sidewall for traction. For this I would go with a 15" rim. The fox body can fit a 10.5" wide tire with little of no interferance. On your lowered car you may need to use a mini-sledge to open the area up a bit, but its no big thing. Now for rim width you have basically 2 options: 8" or 10". Both these size rims will acomidate (i cant spell) the 10.5" tire.
