Default Best numbers running GT40 heads?

i wanna kno what numbers people are coming out with on their motors with GT40 iron heads? even non N/A numbers can b posted. just looking to see how much power can b had....

I've seen guys hit the 300 mark with P heads....

But depending on what you do to them you can hit 300 or over wtih the right combo....Just depends how much you wanna spends.

You can toss GT40s on a full blown race engine and make 500hp, or you could put em on a bone stock motor and make 260. All in what you wanna spend If you're looking for absolute highs it sounds like you're planning on spending some money. Don't cheap out, heads are one of the most important factors

im just wondering if my thumper ported gt40s are worth it or just save and buy the aluminum Trickflows?

if you plan on making a lot of horse power might as well invest in some alum but if you only plan on making around 300 -350 then stick with the gt40s

well my goal is 500 with a s/c is that possible on gt40 heads nad intake?

explorer gt40 also port matched by thumper....$900 for the porting of heads/lower intake, and throwing in a cam(B or TFS1)

Just go aluminum. The Thumpers are sweet, for sure, but they're pretty much maxed out after that. Aluminum heads will flow roughly equally to the Thumpers, but still have a ton of potential left in them
