Default my car's running hot..

well like the title says, my car is running hot a lot
i will fill up with coolant and then in 3-4 weeks it'll be low
but i will park and look for leaks after driving around/filling it up
and i cant find any
it will get to the last white line before 270* and then start cooling down pretty quick
do i need another thermostat?

im thinking of getting one anyways
what is a good thermostat?
and what temp should i get?
160 or 180?

get a mr. gasket 180* and run by autozone or advanced and see if they have a cooling system pressure tester hook it up and look for your leak

Check the weep holes on you water pump. Mine would get hot and then cool off really quick. I was losing coolant and couldn't find the leak either until I saw a stream from the hole. Just something to check.

go to autozone and get the coolant system pressure tester that way u can look for the leak while the car is cool so u fdotn burn yourself but im gonna bet its the heater core leaking is the water on the ground on the right hand side

there is no water on the ground
i will look under and if anything
there may be like one drop and
that would be on the left side
i looked at the hose coming from the
bottom of the radiator and it looked
like there was dried up coolant on it..
