i have a 95 mustang 5.0 and when i turn over the key everythig lights up but it wont crank over i just tried replacing the starter sylinoid and that didnt help. any ideas?

Does it do anything at all? Any clicking or anything or does it do nothing at all? When was the last time it started? When you turn the key, you said the lights come on. What happens when you try to crank it? Do the lights dim?

COULD be a completely bad battery... but I might be wrong. If the lights dim when you try to start it, I'd think its the battery... autozone or discount auto parts tests and charges your battery for free... just take it out and run it down there...

when i crank it over it does nothing at all like the starter isnt even getting power no sound not anything and i know the battery isnt bad it a 2 week old blue top altima and the car was started about a week ago just fine and now it does nothing i even tried charging the battery but it already had a full charge

have a friend give you a hand... take a hammer and tap the starter while trying to crank it over. If it kicks, your starter is toast. If not... youve got electrical problems.

Oh and BTW.... you didnt change out your starter solenoid.... not on a 95...

becuase you cant get just a new solenoid, its part of the starter.

alright thank you and your right it wasnt the solenoid it was the relay
