Default replacing motor mounts

i put a trick flow intake with 1 inch spacer, now when i punch it, the engine intake hits my hood, now i got a dent in it.... my mounts look pretty worn out and was going to get new ones... how long does this take to replace both mounts if you have all the tools you need and a lift? also, is there any aftermarket motor mounts that could make my engine sit lower? thanks alot

get vert ones they supposly sit lower. for now just get a torque strap to help from the motor torquing. i would run either solid mounts or polyutrene[sp]

torque strap is like a rachet strap. hook it to your motor and to the driver side K member or body rail.[something solid and permant] when the motor torques it wont let the motor move and with this set up youll actually plant more power cause. less moving mass they used torque straps on turbo buicks, they also use straps or even brackets on all kinds of high hp cars

all you need to make a homemade torque strap is a heavy turnbuckle available from any hardware store along with some bolts and washers to mount it between the shock tower and the front side of the block or head to hole the engine from rotating. might cost $10!

I have a related question. Wouldnt running solid motor mounts vibrate the hell outta everything in your car? Seems like they would be a big no no for a daily driver to me.
