Default EGR Question

My car when I bought it had the 70 mm BBK throttle body. I was wondering if i should add the egr spacer too and wondering if its necessary. not really sure what it does.

I dont think so but have never seen one. But from the looks it dont seem to have one

It's gonna be between the throttle body and the intake, and have something sticking out the back
