Headers + H-Pipe + Exhaust
Ok so i have my MAC Headers, H-Pipe, and Exhaust. And i want to put them in asap.
Whats the procedure to get all the stock stuff out and all the new stuff in?
1)
2)
3)
etc...
if any one has the time to put all the information together for me and let me know what tools i will need, that would be much appreciated. (I'm a beginner [:@])
thanks in advance for who ever may help.

RE: Headers + H-Pipe + Exhaust
well unhook mufflers, cats, and then drop exhaust pipe, makesure ya unhook the stock exhaust...then put up new headers, and attach exhaust pipe, and back part of catss,mufflers,ect.... take it off a certain way and reverse the precedure...a 3/8 socket set will do it usually..and a lil lube for the old bolts to be loosined..and a helper..

+1 on the penetrating oil, use lots of it.....
Its pretty strait forward, like said above, i'd start at the back, drop the muffers, drove the piping / cats then take out the old headers, and start reinstalling wtih the headers and work your way back. Just basic hand tools will get the job done.

I am wondering the same thing. I called several shops and they will not do the work for me b/c I am not utilizing the cats. I guess I am going to have to do it myself. I am worried because whenever I try to do things myself I end up breaking things and it costs me more money in the long run. I found a article on long tube instal and removal but I ordered shorties so I am not sure if it the same. I can send you than page if you would like, it has instructions and pics.

+1 Anyone who plans on doing work to their car themselves, the first thing they should invest in is a set of air tools. You can get the kit from Husky from Home Depot for like $300 bucks... comes w/ air hammer, ratchet, paint gun, grease gun, blower, tire accessories, etc. etc. etc. Good bang for the buck and will save you countless hours of frustration and hassle throughout the time!
