Airbag light flashes 6 times?

I also have a 91 LX auto and mine does the same thing. It started when I took the seats out to replace the carpet. everything is hooked up I am not sure what it is from if you find out let me know.

+1 to the clock spring. notorious for goin bad. oddly enough mine went randomly when my dad lent me the car for prom (back in the day when i was in high school and it was still his). i told him that it had came on and my cousin checked it out. the following weekend i was confronted by my cousin and my dad and they said it was either from a high heel stabbing the steering wheel or a pubic hair between the contacts with in the steering wheel [&:] it took me a lil while to realize what they were talkin bout. bastards tryin to give me a hard time [:@]
