I've heard worse also. My friend seems to love them tho. He painted his honda civic red to midnite blue. They didnt do the door jams or trunk or anything like that. Looked decent from the outside though. Then he had his eclipse painted from red to blue again. I never got a good look at that paint job though. Both times I never got up close and really looked at it, but it looked good from say 10-15 feet away. Not sure how long the quality would last though, that guy was hard on cars and they were both wrecked within a couple years.

Back in the seventies (I'm dating myself) they advertised they would paint any car any color for $49.95. You had to mask it yourself, a buddy of mine did a bunch of body work to a Buick Regal & took it there, we masked everything we could before he drove there, he taped the rest & the windows in the parking lot. The job was good for $49.95 one door came out bad cause of his horrible bondo work, he went over it again & took it back and they shot the door for free. LOL I didn't think they were stil around but I guess they are.

lol, around here an "earl scheib special" is any car with a crap paint job. They have a hell of a reputation for being the best of the worst, if that makes any sense. Make sure to mask your own stuff off still. They usually mask off glass and lights THATS IT!! They will paint all your trim moulding around your windows, felts, mirror housing, etc. I've even seen them paint badges, antennas, and door locks quite often. So its up to you if you want a complete color matching car.

get the stuff and paint it yourself. they could care less, your paying them jack s*** for a s***ty job. if you have the resources try it yourself and i bet it will come out great, great care bring great work. either that or +1 to the local colleges who have autobody classes, they do some sick work because they are trying super hard to do well so of course they will do bomb *** job.
