Valve cover clearance...

I'm about to get my car back together, almost to the upper intake... My ford motorsports valve covers will be here tomorrow, and i was thinking they would clear, but after looking tonight with my track heat intake, its far from going to clear i believe... Anyone know which valve covers will clear a trick flow intake AND stud mounted roller rockers... I can trial and error it, but don't want to have to wait on parts and them not work and send them back....etc. Any help would be appreciated... And i don't want to use a spacer if i can help it

Are they "tall" valve covers? Like the 3.5" ones? I know that the foxes have clearance issues w/ foxes, frpp tall valve covers and the street heat. You might need an intake spacer. But if you go w/ too big of an intake spacer you might be touching the hood, and than need a cowl lol. Not sure what the clearances are like w. SN-95's though. Maybe someone else can help you ... good luck.

Try putting on double valve cover gaskets to clear the rockers?............Good Luck!

that is the stupidest thing I have ever heard. You NEVER double stack gaskets. All you do is make it easier to develop a leak.

Kev, your best course of action would be to install a phenolic intake spacer, However, it may cause clearance problems with your hood.

I got the valve covers today, and when i pulled them out of the box i was like no damn way... But i took them to the garage anyway to check... I set them on and set the intake on and it FIT... I was amazed... There is literally milimeters clearance... I thought it was hitting, but i took a shop light and held behind it and there was light in between them... Good enough for me... Thanks for the replies last night, posted it and went to bed...Worn the hell out after spending most of it bent over the fender of that thing

so you achieved this without a spacer? I'm wanting the same valve covers and have the same intake. If I get a 3/8" spacer I should have good clearance correct?
