you have to remove the fuel tank to get to the pump to replace it. it's not all that hard to do if you run the tank about empty or siphon the gas out of it first to remove most of the weight. support the tank with a floor jack and loosen the straps which hold it up, then disconnect the clamp holding the fill tube into the tank and completely loosen the hold down straps. slowly lower the tank some in order to get to the electrical connections and disconnect these and the fuel lines, then you can lower the tank all the way down. you will need the special plastic tool in order to disconnect the high pressure fuel lines, it's available from any auto parts store for about $15 or less. it comes with two different sizes for the two sizes of fuel lines on a Stang. once you've the tank down and out from under the car, use a brass or other non-sparking metal rod to knock loose the clamping ring holding the tank and level gauge in place and unscrew it all the way. then lift out the fuel pump and level gauge. replace the pump and sock with a new one and reverse the steps to put it all back together.

jeeze i wish it was that easy for me, roundman pretty much set it all. juss be prepared for the unexpected. i had a hard time putting the new fuel pump in cause it doesnt juss drop in u gotta monuver it in a weird way, my suggestion is, when u go to put the new pump in look threw the filler neck whole on the side of the tank so u can see where the pump is goin. it was al ot easier that way for me.

o yah one more thing. get a couple of buddies of urs to help u put the tank back up. its easier bringin it down then up but i had to drop my tank one more then one ocasion and it was nearly impossible 2 man job. what i did was this. one guy on each side of the tank holding it in place and one guy jacking up the tank. if u can do it another way, LET ME NO

i plan on modding in the future so would a 155 lph be worthwhile or is that too much right now on a stock application or should i just stick with the 110 lph for now.
