Default throw out bearing

hey guys, when ever the clutch is let out there is a noise and i think its the throwout bearing wobbling in the fork on the side of the tranny. dik, i could be wrong but do any of you guys know what the problem is and is this a common problem with this year mustang. thanks

if its like a chirping and you can just rest your foot on the clutch pedal to take out the tension of the cable and it goes away its the throwout bearing... when they get worse they make other unusual noises too...

yea it sounds like it's the throwout bearing 40$ for a nice one from napa or like 20 for the cheap one

He meant just a hair, like less than 1/2 inch. Less than 1/2 inch means it IS the throwout bearing. More than that could be something else.

a throwout bearing going bad is commen in any manual car, they aren't to hard to replace but you have to drop the tranny to do it

A TO is not hard to do if you have a lift and a tranny jack. Doing it on the floor of your garage with jackstands sucks. You're going to need to remove your H/X-pipe first, then you'll need to remove the driveshaft, THEN the tranny. Sounds easy but trying to get the clearance you need with floor jacks is difficult at best.
