??? on fiberglass
ok just to review. I have tworusted throughholes in my roof on both sides of the sunroof. They are about 1-2 inches wide and about 4 inches long.( not complete holes. There is some metal there but its just rusted through)I am thinking about using fiberglass to try and make it look somewhat decent. Can this be done?If i can do this, should i use the fiberglass from the inside of the car or the outside of the car? Im not going for perfection, i just dont want to see these holes anymore. Rest of the body isn't bad. Thanks for any advise.

RE: ??? on fiberglass
1)Take a wire brush wheel and remove all of the rust. If not it will just grow like a cancer.
2)Take some Rustoleum Primer and spray on the freshly brushed area and let dry
3)Yes, fiberglass from the inside of the car to patch the hole.
4)Bondo the spot from the exterior and sand smooth.
5)reprimer then Paint
I have read where they say to patch from the exterior side with the fibreglass. But trust me, it is better to do it from the inside. Only time to patch on the exterior is when you are building up a large dent or something. You can make it nearly flawless the way I said above.
