5.0 NO START!

RE: 5.0 NO START!
umm, You can hear the fuel rail fill but not the pump making the normal noise, so I'm asuming that the fuel pump relay, wiring, and fuel pump are working correctly. You said earlier that the fuel pressure was ZERO so I would look at the fuel pressure regulator

RE: 5.0 NO START!
yeah you could have low fuel pressure
ie: 5lbs of pressure wont work if the car needs 40,
be 100% certain that you know your fuel pump is working and you DONT have fuel pressure (or low) before you spend another $50 on a regulator

I think the strator is inside the distributor and the TMI is a module plug on the outside of the distributor.
You may just want to replace the entire distributor all-together. Make sure you mark the outside of the distributor to line it back up properly.

davemurray, I was just reading your posts due to the same problems i'm having with my car. As i was checking the fuel pressure (40lb) when a neighborhood mechanic told me the disconnect the BAP sensor. The car started and stayed running. When reconnected the sensors. Car just turn over no start. Only way started is with starting spray into the intake, then pump pedal once released motor will die. Just relaying my experience, hope this helps .Good luck. Regg
